Rock Merch – For the Masses
Rock merch is a very profitable business. Everyone enjoys music and most love rock n roll. Owning some of your favorite band’s merchandise, to most, is quite enjoyable. Concert t shirts are by far the most important item, and highest seller, in the rock merch industry. At some point in everyones’ lives they will purchase a rock n roll concert tee. I have purchased numerous concert tees over the last 25 years of my life, and I have no plans in changing these purchases. Wearing rock merch appeals to most as it makes a statement about who you are without saying a word. Without rock merch the world’s population, especially teens, would suffer greatly.
Rock Merch – Worldwide Sales
The United States dominates in rock merch sales. Russia comes in at a far second, and Europe claims third place. Teenagers spend the most money on rock merch. Early aged adults follow in second place, and the middle age demographics take third. There are many bands in today’s market that travel the world thus selling crazy numbers of concert t shirts. Kiss is by far the world’s highest selling band in rock merch. Gene Simmons can be thanked for these sales. He has the mind of a business man more so than a rock star. His net worth is around $500 million. This net worth also includes the money he is making for his reality tv show Family Jewels. Paul McCartney has a net worth of slightly lower than that of Gene Simmons at at whopping $495 million. Which makes The Beatles a rock merch survivor. Michael Jackson’s net worth is $429 million, Elton John’s net worth, $320 million, and Elvis has a net worth of $300 million. As you can see rock merch is a massive money making industry.
